NEW YORK CITY FERRY

One of the great ways to travel within the city to places that aren't easy to reach via subways or buses is the New York City ferry system.

Effective September 12, 2022 the fares and schedules have been updated.

The cost of a one-way ticket has been raised to $4.00 BUT there is a reduced fare ticket of $1.35 for Senior Citizens, ages 65 or older and for persons with disabilities.  If you currently participate in the Fair Fare NYC Program you also qualify for the reduced fare.

If you are eligible you must apply for the program. Once approved, you will be able to access the $1.35 ticket in the NYC Ferry app or be able to purchase the ticket in-person at Pier 11/Wall Street between the hours of 8 AM – 7 PM. Applications may take up to 30 days to process.

Heard on the Street

Whining to my doorman one night about the very expensive lesson of replacing two sets of batteries within one month because I was using the wrong charger, he shrugged his shoulders, rolled his eyes and replied: “Hey it’s a Benz. Repairs are expensive!”
